Workshop Series
A Responsible Technology Workshop Series
By NYU Libraries - Undergraduate & Instructional Services
Welcome to Rethinking Our Tech Habits, a self-paced digital workshop series designed to help you reflect on your personal relationship with technology. Through three interconnected modules—Values & Beliefs, Accountability, and Privacy—you’ll examine the digital tools you use daily, how they shape your behaviors, and how you can use them more intentionally.
This series does not blame individuals for the systemic harms caused by large-scale tech structures. Instead, it invites you to consider what you can control, grounded in your personal values, rights, and choices.
By participating in this series, you will:
Identify your core values and beliefs as they relate to technology use
Understand the role of accountability in shaping ethical tech design and governance
Explore privacy as a right, a personal practice, and a global concern
Reflect on how digital systems influence your mental, physical, and social well-being
Take actionable steps to rethink and reshape your tech habits in a way that aligns with your principles
