NYU Accra Re-Claiming the Narrative Symposium

As part of NYU’s expansive global network, the University has supported research and learning in Ghana’s capital, with our faculty and students having the opportunity to come together to engage in high-level scholarship on the African continent. NYU Accra has been a thriving site of teaching and discovery for nearly twenty years. It was fitting when UNESCO designated Accra as the World Book Capital for 2023–2024. 

Amid that backdrop, we are thrilled to host 30 of Africa’s brightest and most important voices in literature who have worked tirelessly to recreate the narrative on Africa through powerful works that have made a tremendous impact. We are pleased to welcome readers to the gardens at NYU Accra for this feast of books and authors, our latest installment of the Labone Dialogues symposia.
