I'm a PhD candidate in the philosophy department at NYU. I hail from Cape Town, South Africa (pictured). I'm primarily interested in philosophy of language and formal semantics, with forays into mind and epistemology. Most of my research focuses on attitude ascriptions: I consider the challenges they raise for compositional semantic theories, as well as what they tell us about the nature of mental content. I also work on descriptions, anaphora, presupposition, counterfactuality, and modality.
