SPORTS TEAM TRYOUTS

NYU Shanghai Sports Team Tryouts are open to all students studying at NYU Shanghai, including undergraduate, graduate, and study away students. Tryouts are conducted at the beginning of every semester. An announcement email will be sent out before the semester starts. The selection process of each sports team is linked below for reference. Each sports team has limited spots; students who were not admitted as Student-Athletes may still have a chance to practice with the team as Development Players (3 spots for each team).

Please be aware that if a selected Student-Athlete withdraws from the team due to injury or other reasons during the season,  coaches will make the ultimate decision on whether a replacement player is needed. If yes, coaches will make a comprehensive evaluation of factors, including but not limited to positional needs, attendance record, and technical-tactical proficiency, then select the appropriate candidate.
