OPEN CALL Glimpses 2019

(Closed)

Following last year’s success, Glimpses is back for its second edition and we are very excited for you to explore new ways of communicating your scientific research through art.

This year, the call is divided into two sections:

Section I: Artwork

Participants in this section are invited to present their research as a form of art, either as image(s), video(s), audio(s), a physical piece of art (sculpture/installation, etc.), a performance or a combination of different media.

Section II: Proposal/Idea

In this second section, participants are invited to write a proposal for a project that they would like to develop, in collaboration with the NYUAD Art Department. This could be a photograph or video project, a performance, installation or sculpture that the participant/s can’t develop themselves due to lack of equipment and/or resources.

Participants in this category should submit a proposal that contains a brief description and/or a sketch of their idea. The sketch could be a scanned drawing, an illustrator file or a pdf. No other files will be accepted.

If accepted, Glimpses will put you in contact with faculty, researchers and students from the Division of Arts & Humanities to develop your idea from concept to realization.

If you already have an open collaboration with an artist at NYUAD, please mention that in the description.

Who Can Apply?

The call is open to active researchers from all Divisions at NYU. You can submit your artwork or idea as a group or single person.

How Many Applications Can I Submit?
