Experiences
Global Competency
Semester Abroad in Abu Dhabi
Studying abroad during the spring 2022 semester allowed me to broaden my technical and global understandings. I had the opportunity to tour Buhais Geological Park, a pearl farm, Hatta Dam, Dubai's Future Labs, the Port of Fujairah, Dubai's Museum of the Future, and so much more. I learned about different engineering challenges across the world and the economy of the UAE from experts and was privileged to meet incredibly talented people. I also had the joy of exploring the 2022 World Expo!
The Global Tech Experience
I also have had the opportunity to complete the Coding for Web track through the Global Tech Experience. This was a fantastic opportunity to learn how to work in diverse and global teams while learning essential web development skills like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The experience culminated with a project creating a webpage with an interactive matching game, found on my Github.
Commitment to Service
Earth Day at Fort Greene Park
Volunteering with the Fort Greene Park staff allowed me to interact with the community and facilitate the plant swap booth. Other stations included plant, book, and clothes swaps, and activities like creating wildflower balls! It was a great to teach children about propagation and the importance of preserving green spaces.
Bowery Mission Packaging Event
The NYU Tandon Office of Inclusive Excellence partnered with the Bowery Mission to create care/hygiene kits to hand out to individuals struggling with homelessness and/or marginalization. Volunteers worked to fill and package hundreds of care packages with basic necessities.

Leadership
Introduction to Engineering Teaching Assistant
Semester Long Design Project Mentor
Worked to guide groups of 3-4 first year students through the ideation, planning, prototyping, and troubleshooting of a unique semester long design project (SLDP), emphasizing collaboration and engineering principles
Lab TA
Taught weekly lab sections covering various fields of engineering in which I communicated and explained background information relevant to the laboratory and helped students learn while troubleshooting issues
Open Lab TA
Facilitated productive and safe student directed work during open lab sessions in which students met to ask for technical help and use course resources
Web Manager for Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP)
NYU is a member of the VIP Consortium which encompasses 40 universities across the United States. VIP teams allows for undergraduate, and graduates students from all experience levels and backgrounds to collaborate on projects that they are passionate about, building skills and learning from one another.
As Web Manager for the program, I develop and update informational pages to increase digital presence and accessibility. I communicate with student leads, advisors, and the university web team to promote and maintain the program.
I sincerely believe that project based and collaborative learning is foundational to an engineering education, and I am proud to support a program facilitating that.
