We are now accepting Study/Research preliminary proposals for our summer intake. Proposals are due Friday, May 22.
While we are very proud of the fact that NYU has been named a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for 10 years running — a tradition we certainly plan to keep up! — we have also designed our Fulbright application development process as an opportunity for personal development and experiential learning. Volunteer mentors play a vital role in helping us achieve both objectives, especially with the growing number of NYU students and alumni applying for Fulbright grants.

Fulbright Mentors help our applicants to develop and articulate their goals and motivations for their Fulbright year. Mentors are assigned 1-2 mentees and will provide up to 3 rounds of written feedback and personalized advising for each mentee between June and September.Â
To receive NYU's formal endorsement, Fulbright requires all applicants to be interviewed by a Campus Committee. Mentors will serve as Campus Committee interviewers and complete an endorsement form for their mentees.
The Fulbright US Scholar Program offers over 400 awards for postdocs, faculty, and experienced professionals to teach, conduct research, or carry out professional projects abroad in one of over 135 countries.
