Over 20 Million views of my photos on Google Maps!!! (Wow... just wow).
Google sent me an email naming me as one of their top photographers (at 1 million) ...wow... over 20 million now ...my Dad and many others taught me how to shoot at a young age. I use the discipline of Framing and Awareness of light in every shot... I am hoping to get a 'capture' ...something that 'lives on its own' and I continued to learn and have an interest throughout my life up until today! (I usually erase / delete about 95% of the photos I've taken... sometimes I love the very first one and stop there).- Evan

I'm a member of SAG-AFTRA now... but I was 'Non Union Background' for 8 years (2012-20) during a 'Golden Age' of Film & TV in NYC before the Pandemic.
I registered my '3rd Voucher' with SAG a few months before the Pandemic Lock-down, then I joined online in Nov 2020. It was a very long, hard run for me almost over the whole decade getting those three vouchers and registering them in person at the SAG Office ...'diving under the gate at the last moment before it shut' (metaphorically). I wouldn't be able to do it today... we are in 'new normal.'
Try and guess who I am. The Background Character I am is in the 'Description' section when you 'Watch on YouTube.'
Some clips were lost, some erased, some blocked (dammit), some not worth recording and a few I never got to see but I tried to find every one of them... every, single one. - Evan
I know the routine of a booking, have I-9 verification, a 'second change' & 'on camera' / set experience.
I saw my job as being on time, ‘on-take’ & following directions. I used what I learned in acting classes for my background work ...sometimes it was magic (& used). The successful people were 'part of a team' & I was too! I kept in mind that it 'was' work & money for cast, crew, producers, & related offices. I concerned myself with paperwork, direction & staying in status with other 'Background.' I concentrated with what was 'on take;' having quick conversation with 'other Background' about what we might do instead of 'naptime action.' I was on approximately 50 sets in 2019 before the Pandemic Lockdown; in March, 2020. My Resume(s) are projects I 'worked background' on. I was 'in the rack' on most, a blur on some... not used at all on one or two and 'featured' on a nice handful. Mostly I was on a show just 'one day' and one season ...two or three days once in a while with others... and many days/many seasons (core sometimes) on a 'nice bunch' from 'my pile' of bookings.

I Completed a Course with the 'Veteran's Film Fellowship' held at NYU and taught by an NYU Graduate (MFA) of the Tisch [Screenwriting] Program (I'm not sure of the exact name of the NYU Program).
It was in person at a classroom donated by NYU in the Wash Sq. Park area and had remote participation via Zoom. It was attended by a good amount of NYU associated Veterans. I was very happy so many paricipated and hope to work with as many as possible in the future. The content of the coursework was graduate level, 'real world' and easy to digest thanks to Lou Ferrer. The guest speakers included NYU instructors who work (and/or have worked) in the industry... I was truly impressed and learned a great deal.
