My research in computer science focuses on algorithms and theory. I am drawn towards theory because it emphasizes not only if a particular approach works well (or not) but why this is the case. This motivates the broad goal of my research: developing algorithmic tools, along with strong theoretical guarantees on their efficacy and efficiency, that can be leveraged broadly in optimization. To this end, my career goal is to be a tenure-track professor in theoretical computer science.
