Dr. Salah Eddine Choutri Research Associate at NYU Abu Dhabi. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics, specializing in applied mathematics and computational mathematics, from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. His expertise lies at the intersection of stochastic optimal control, probability, and game theory. His current work is focused on developing, analyzing, and testing novel neural operators for solving partial differential equations (PDEs).
Dr. Fares B. Mehouachi is a Research Associate at New York University Abu Dhabi. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University Paris VII. His research focuses on exploring subjects at the intersection of machine learning and computational physics, applying these techniques to traffic flow modeling, time-series forecasting, and cybersecurity.
Prajwal Chauhan received his B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering from GB Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2020 and M.Tech. degree in Transportation and Highway Engineering from The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) in 2022. After working at IIT Tirupati as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF), he joined NYU in 2023 to pursue his Ph.D. degree in Transportation Systems. His research interests include applications of machine learning techniques to problems in the transportation systems domain.
Nishant Aswani is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science and Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from NYU Abu Dhabi. His research focuses on continual learning and interpretability in machine learning models. His work includes exploring neural representation dynamics using Koopman autoencoders and analyzing changes in internal representations of continual learning models through tensor decomposition.
Guanbo Shao eceived his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Southeast University in China and his Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of California, San Diego. Hi doctoral research focuses on Koopman dynamics and the study of embedding and inverse embedding methods, with an emphasis on developing mathematical and statistical tools to better understand complex dynamical systems.
Lukelo Luoga is a Ph.D. student in Transportation Systems Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from NYU Abu Dhabi in May 2024. His research lies at the intersection of AI and autonomous-vehicle safety, focusing on the robustness and security of perception and planning models, vision-language driving planners, and scalable simulation for AVs.
Dr. Sai Venkata Ramana Ambadipudi completed his M. Sc. in Physics from IIT Kanpur in 2007 after which he worked in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), India, as a scientist till 2019. Currently he is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). He obtained his Ph.D. in 2016 for a part of his work at BARC. He is a theoretical and computational physicist with main interests in statistical physics of equilibrium and non-equilibrium systems.
Dr. Wenqing Li received his B.Sc. degree from the College of Electrical and Information Engineering at Hunan University in 2012, and his Ph.D. degree from the College of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2018. After he completed his Post-Doctoral research training at New York University Abu Dhabi, he joined Hunan University as a faculty member in the College of Electrical and Information Engineering. His research interests include statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and their applications in transportation systems and industrial processes.
Bilal Thonnam Thodi received his B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2014 and M.Tech. degree in Transportation Engineering from The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) in 2017. He completed his Ph.D. degree in Transportation Planning & Engineering at New York University, NY, U.S.A. His research interests include applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to problems in traffic operations. His current affiliation is Uber.
Yue Wang received her B.Sc. degree from the College of Automation at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2015, and her M.Sc. degree from the College of Control Science and Engineering at Zhejiang University in 2018. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University, NY, U.S.A. Her research interests include adversarial learning and cybersecurity applications in transportation. Her current affiliation is NYU Abu Dhabi.
Chuhan Yang is a Ph.D. Student in Computer Science. He received his M.Sc. degree in Statistics from Columbia University and his B.Sc. in Mathematics from Wuhan University. He is completed his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at New York University, NY, U.S.A. His current research interests include machine learning, transfer learning and data visualization. He is current affiliation is The Sacramento Transit Authority, where he serves as a data scientist.
Li Li completed her Ph.D. at New York University (NYU). She finished her Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Traffic Engineering from Tongji University, China. Her research interests focus on connected vehicles, automated vehicles, electric vehicles, and distributed/real-time control for large scale traffic networks. She is currently an Associate Professor at Fuzhou University
Dr. Jérôme Benoit obtained his doctoral degree in theoretical physics. He is currently a Research Scholar with the Ronin Institute. He was a Research Associate in the Traffic Flow Dynamics and Computation group at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). He conducts research in mathematical and theoretical physics. His main research interests include Geometrical Topology, Network Theory, and Information Theory.
DianChao Lin completed his Ph.D. at New York University (NYU). He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Traffic Engineering and Traffic Information Engineering & Control from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. His research interests include traffic state estimation, applications of game theory to automated vehicles, and multi-modal traffic flow in urban networks. He is currently an Associate Professor at Fuzhou University
Mani completed his BSc. in Civil Engineering from NYU Abu Dhabi in May 2019. His final thesis was on optimizing pedestrian evacuation through reinforcement learning techniques. His other research interests include recommender systems analysis, transport infrastructure modeling, traffic analysis, and control.
Deepthi Mary Dilip is an Assistant Professor at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. She received her M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from National Institute of Technology, Calicut and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2009 and 2015, respectively. She held a Post-Doctoral Associate position with New York University Abu Dhabi prior to joining BITS Pilani. Her research interests include probabilistic modeling of transportation systems and reliability analysis.
