Emma (they/them) is a playwright and stage manager (who occasionally does a number of other things). Inspired by small stories and large feelings, their work focuses on queerness, family, and the absurdity of identity.
Based in NYC, they've stage managed several plays working with Love Child Theatre Company, Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, and Broke People Play Festival.
They've recently returned from 5 months in Denmark, where they studied at the Filmhøjskolen Møn. In that time, they made three short films, two of which premiered on Flimmagsinet Ekko.
Their documentary I Danmark er jeg (ikke) født has been nominated to Amandus Blikkfang, a Norwegian film festival.
Currently, Emma is finishing their degree at NYU Tisch, where they are majoring in Dramatic Writing and minoring in English.
