On March 18, 2021, I delivered a workshop titled “Devising from Visual Art: Pretext, Context, Theme & Variation,” which was given in fulfillment of the Arts Dialogue component of the candidacy requirements for the EdD in Educational Theatre in Colleges and Communities in the Department of Educational Theatre at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. The dialogue was given to graduate students enrolled in the course MPAET.GE-2110 | "Devised Theatre: Theory & Technique." The documents below are offered as evidence of the completion of the Arts Dialogue and have been made accessible to you through GoogleDrive. They include the original PowerPoint presentation created for the workshop, a written explanation and reflection of the workshop, a critical response of the workshop written by the supervising faculty member, Dr. Nancy Smithner, and a copy of my lecture notes which are intended to be read in conjunction with the PowerPoint. (Note: the PowerPoint presentation and video recording of the workshop were made available to the students through the NYU Classes website immediately following the class session.)
