I grew up in Dallas, TX and attended undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin, where I majored in physics and mathematics, and also raced bikes on the cycling team. Here, my fiance Julia Maxwell and I are outside Powell's Books in Portland. She is a librarian at Rutgers University: check out her website.
I did my Ph.D. at the University of Michigan with Ben Safdi, where I worked on methods to indirectly detect physics beyond the Standard Model, mostly using astrophysical systems. I spent the last couple years of my Ph.D. at UC Berkeley and LBNL.
I now am a joint postdoc between New York University and the Center for Computational Astrophysics at the Flatiron Institute, where I'll be until 2026.
