Hello!
My name is Ali, and I'm a student studying computer science with a minor in mathematics at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I am also pursuing a masters in Financial Engineering through the BS/MS program. My passion lies in leveraging technology to help solve economic problems in today's world. I specifically want to focus on economic vulnerability and how we can better understand the complexities of financial markets through mathematical and computational techniques.
Born and raised in New York City, I have lived in the epicenter of global intersection. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and going to the gym.
"I aim to leverage my technical expertise to create and propose data-driven solutions to global challenges"
The GLASS program has given me the opportunity to thrive and excel academically, professionally, and personally.
Some of my most influential experiences were during my study abroad semesters at NYU Paris and NYU Abu Dhabi. Studying abroad expanded my worldview and allowed me to encounter different cultures and perspectives while enjoying the novelty of exploring new locations.
GLASS events, service opportunities, and professional development initiatives have provided a launchpad for my future endeavors as a well-rounded engineer.
