I am a Psychology PhD student at New York University, where I work with Dr. Andrei Cimpian at the Cognitive Development Lab. I am also an IES-PIRT fellow, supported by the Institute of Education Sciences and the NYU Institute of Human Development and Social Change.

I am interested in what shapes children’s and adults' career choices, with a specific emphasis on the role of social group identities (e.g., those based on gender, social class, race).

In one line of work, I explore children's emerging knowledge of which groups hold power in society, how people gain power, and how power may be distributed unfairly (e.g., through nepotism), as well as how this knowledge shape children's early aspirations for power.

In another line of work, I investigate the persistent underrepresentation of women, racial/ethnic minorities, and students from lower income backgrounds in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

Prior to joining NYU, I earned a B.A. in Marketing and Psychology from Singapore Management University and an M.Ed. in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
