Whitney Davidson-Rhodes is the Young Adult Librarian from the Wakefield Branch. She is glad to be working with an amazing group of people dedicated to making teens in the Bronx feel seen and heard.
Ryan Frick is the Young Adult Librarian at the Edenwald Branch in the Bronx. He loves being involved with Anti-Prom because it provides an opportunity for teens to celebrate who they are in a supportive environment. He spends most of his spare time watching movies and baking cookies.
Tabrizia Jones is a Young Adult Librarian in the Bronx. As someone who was born and raised in the Bronx, she has seen the great things that make New York a creative and vibrant city. What better way to display that creativity than in a magazine that celebrates New York! Tabrizia has participated with literary magazines and newspapers in high school, both working on them and submitting to them. In her spare time, she loves to write short stories and poems, do art, and of course, read!
Dhariyah Luqman is a Young Adult Information Assistant from the Eastchester Branch, who joined the Bronx Anti-Prom Committee in 2020. Working in the Bronx, she is dedicated to creating enjoyable and engaging programs for Bronx Teens. She hopes to continue to support the Bronx Teen community through the NYPL’s available youth services.
Chelsey Masterson is the Young Adult Librarian from the Belmont Branch. She loves books and music and wants to talk to you about your favorites. She loves working with Anti-Prom because all teens deserve to celebrate themselves for who they are and not be judged for it! When she’s not lost in the stacks finding new YA books to read, you can find her learning Korean on Discord.
Elizabeth Paldino is the Young Adult Librarian from the Van Cortlandt branch. She loves giving her support to everyone involved with the Anti-Prom because she always wants to create a safe and enjoyable environment for her teens. When she’s not reading angsty YA you can find her on the stage with her local Bronx Community Theater Group performing or directing, something that’s been a passion of hers since she was little. And yes, she has been on Law & Order!
Deanna Schiffman is the Young Adult Librarian from the Melrose and Jerome Park Branches. She loves reading, knitting, and crocheting, and would love to see photos of any and all of your pets. This is her first year joining the Bronx Anti-Prom Committee and is so excited to help Bronx teens celebrate themselves without judgement.
Jordan Mangual is the Young Adult Educational Programming Coordinator of the Young Adult Services department. She supports wonderful programming for teens between 12-18 years old throughout the Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island. She loves working with teens in all capacities! She loves reading, thrifting, painting from time to time and spending cozy days laughing at memes with her cat, Powder!
