Student Organziation of Hematology and Oncology
The Student Organization for Hematology and Oncology (SOHO) aims to increase awareness about cancer within the osteopathic community and promote prevention through education and community service. The organization also aims to educate students about relevant osteopathic approaches to treating cancer patients, provide a forum for students to learn about opportunities and networking within the specialty, and serve as a platform to discuss the latest research and literature related to the fields of hematology and oncology.
Our organization spans a variety of specialties as cancer effects a multitude of systems. Our events are focused around increasing awareness, educational talks, raising money to support cancer research and those with cancer, exposing students to the specialty, as well as exposing students to current cancer research projects.
