As the Student Cardiology Organization, we plan to host enriching cardiology related events, spread awareness for cardiac health, and volunteer in our community. This past year we've held a variety of events for our students in partnership with other organizations such as an EKG Workshop, a Discussion on the Gender and Racial Differences in the Clinical Presentation of Myocardial Infarction, a Paint and Sip event, and a Cold Springs Harbor Hike.  We have several other events planned such as a Speaker series from physicians in different subspecialties of cardiology (invasive, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, etc.). In addition, we serve as a resource for NYITCOM students who have any questions regarding research or other extracurricular activities that will help build a competitive application for residency and fellowship.
