Mission Statement: Our mission is to create tomorrow’s abortion providers and pro-choice physicians, as well as educate students on social inequalities in healthcare surrounding reproductive and sexual health. We believe that all people should have access to health services that allow them to lead safe, healthy lives including all aspects of sexual and reproductive health consistent with their own personal and cultural values.

The student chapter of Medical Students for Choice (MSFC), serves as a platform for NYITCOM medical students to get involved in the field of family planning and reproductive health during their pre-clinical education. The organization raises awareness about sexual and reproductive health and teaches safe abortion care, which is often absent from clinical education in many medical schools. We hold IUD insertion workshops, Manual Vacuum Aspiration workshops, and host multiple talks by local physicians emphasizing the importance of having access to abortions and to reproductive education in healthcare.
