American College of Osteopathic Neurologists & Psychiatrists 

The NYITCOM Old Westbury Student Chapter of ACONP is a medical student interest group that aims to raise awareness of neurological and psychiatric conditions and to promote the fields of Neurology & Psychiatry with an osteopathic perspective. Whether through workshops, seminars, or community service, we are committed to educating the medical student population on current neuropsychiatric topics, creating opportunities for student participation in neurological, psychiatric, and mental health activities, and serving as a resource for students interested in pursuing neurology and psychiatry residencies. 

National Organization Mission Statement: To promote the art and science of osteopathic medicine in the fields of neurology and psychiatry. To maintain and further evaluate the highest standards of proficiency and training among osteopathic neurologists and psychiatrists.
