Theatre Club

Theatre Club Nanyang (TCN) delves into all aspects of theatre, including directing, scripting, performing, prop-making, costuming, and crewing.

As a bilingual performance group, we present devised and genre-specific works in both languages. TCN has consistently been awarded the ‘Certificate of Distinction’ at every iteration of the biennial Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. Most recently, our exploration into the Chinese ‘Crosstalk’ genre resulted in our members emerging as champions of the ‘Chui Huay Lim Club National Crosstalk Competition 2023’. Beyond these competitions, Theatre Club Nanyang plays a pivotal role in supporting the performing arts scene at NYGH by regularly participating in and contributing to a diverse range of school productions.

南洋剧坊 探索戏剧的各个方面，包括导演、编剧、表演、道具制作、服装设计和组织。作为一支双语表演团体，我们在两种语言中呈现创作和特定流派的作品。南洋剧坊在新加坡青年节比赛中屡获最高荣誉奖 。最近，我们对中国的“相声”流派的尝试使我们的成员成为了醉花林杯 “全国相声大赛” 的冠军。除了这些比赛之外，南洋剧坊在支持南洋女子中学校的表演艺术场景方面发挥着重要作用，定期参与并为各种学校制作做出贡献。
