Nanyang Softball is more than just a sport. The strong sense of camaraderie and unity displayed by all members has always been a key hallmark of this CCA. There is no strict divide between batches, and seniors play a pivotal role of being mentors to their juniors by sharing relevant experiences and advice with regards to CCA or schoolwork.
Training sessions do not simply comprise physical workouts but also include recreational games to foster team bonding. Beyond training sessions, recess gatherings are also occasionally organised among the B and C Divisions, along with post season celebrations and CCA camps. It is through these activities that stronger ties are built among the team as members learn how to better support one another, on or off the field.
While all softball members become physically healthier and stronger through regular physical training, their emotional resilience is also honed through the diverse and varied contexts that they are exposed to. Every softball member learns how to work together with their teammates through tough times, be it emotionally or physically. They also learn the importance of displaying true sportsmanship, through encouraging opponents and accepting both victories and losses with grace and humility. It is hoped that through this unique experience in Nanyang Softball that every softball member gains a sense of pride, unforgettable memories as well as friendships that last a lifetime.
