The American Revolution Experience is a national traveling exhibit created by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the American Battlefield Trust.
12 engaging panels connect real people’s lives to pivotal Revolutionary moments.
3 interactive kiosks dive deeper into personal stories and places of the war.
Custom illustrations by artist Dale Watson bring 18th-century figures and events to life.
The Revolution wasn’t just fought by generals and statesmen. Visitors will encounter:
Drummer boys, mapmakers, and farmers swept into conflict.
Patriots and Loyalists, making life-changing decisions.
Black and Native communities navigating freedom and survival.
International allies who shaped the outcome.
The exhibit invites you to ask: What would you have done in 1776?

This innovative exhibit combines DAR’s historic collections with the American Battlefield Trust’s digital interpretation tools. Supported by the National Park Service’s Battlefield Interpretation Grant, it is traveling across the country through 2025 to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Revolution.
