We continue to balance our budget but tapping into reserves. Over 70% of our budget is out of our control,
despite reducing costs in any way manageable. We may hear 3 possible solutions (1) re-districting: where
parents would find out which school their child will attend the summer before the new school year.
(2) Complete school consolidation: Springfield: 180 students, NWE: 347 students. (3) Repurposing or
reconfiguring: example: K-2 district wide at Springfield, grades 3-5 at NW. Decision could be made to impact
district as early as next school year.
