Join Milwaukee Recreation as we tour Milwaukee's beautiful trails and bike lanes. Each Saturday we meet at a different park at 10:00 AM and ride!
Discover the joy of group bike rides on Milwaukee's best trails! Rides include a short introduction on bike safety followed by a group ride led by our experienced ride leaders. Rides will focus on bike trails with some street riding and are suitable for beginners. This is a slow roll, no-drop ride, which means *no one* will be left behind. We will start and end at the same location. Ride distance is dependent on the group and riding conditions, but we aim for an approximately 90 minute ride. Must provide your own bike & helmet.
Thursday evening rides will start and end at local beer gardens.

Join us as we come together to ride in honor of the life and legacy of the late, great civil rights leader Malcolm X—our own shining prince. This powerful community ride is a time to reflect, celebrate, and move together with purpose through the city he continues to inspire.
We will meet at the designated location and ride together through Milwaukee, uplifting unity, culture, and community pride. The ride distance is approximately 3–6 miles, including a significant amount of street riding, so riders should feel comfortable navigating urban routes.

Juneteenth Freedom Ride

Join us for a ride in honor of Juneteenth Day. The ride will be 15 miles long, slow to moderate pace, with some hills along the route. We will end the ride at Milwaukee's 55th Annual Juneteenth Celebration.
**Must bring a reusable water bottle, helmet, and extra spending cash for the festival.

Join Red Bike & Green on a family centered ride to the 11th annual Lift Up Every Baby Celebration in honor of Black Breastfeeding Week. We are trying to get child bike seats and carriers to parents who want to attend the ride. Indicate that you may need a child bike seat or carrier in the comments or message section on Red Bike & Green's Facebook page. We’ll gather at 10 a.m. at Riverside Park, then roll out together at 10:30 a.m. Participants should know how to stop, turn, and balance. A limited number of Bublr e-bikes will be available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.

Heal The Hood Bike Ride & Bike Giveaway

Join Red Bike & Green and Heal the Hood as we honor and celebrate our culture. As well as honor the memonry of late Keyon-Jackson Malone. There will be a bike giveaway of 25 bikes at 4pm. You must be present to recieve a bike, bikes are given away on a first come first serve bases. Must sign up in a raffle onsight to particiapte in the bike giveaway.

Summer Finale Near West Side Partners Soul Roll Ride (40 Miles)

Join MKE REC and Near West Side Partners for an exciting community bike ride exploring points of interest along the proposed 30th Street Corridor and Milwaukee’s beautiful trails and bike lanes. The ride will start and end at Washington Park.
All riders will begin together on a family-friendly 10-mile route at a slow to moderate pace, all abilities welcome. Riders who want an additional challenge can continue on for up to 40 miles total with an extended adult ride featuring scenic trails, bike lanes, rest stops, and local food truck stops where food and beverages will be available for purchase.
This is not a closed route, so all traffic laws must be followed. The route is fairly flat with no major hills. Riders should bring their own bike, helmet (required), water bottle, and cash/card for optional food truck purchases. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Time: Meet at 8:30 AM | Roll Out at 9:00 AM

Join us as we ride in our 5th Annual Black August Ride in partnership with Friends of Rose Park to commentate Black August and honor our political prisoners, activists, and fallen comrades. The ride will be 7-10 miles.

We will meet a Gordon Park, and in true Red Bike & Green fashion, we will add an "S" to the Gordon Park sign in honor of Gordon Parks, noted photographer, musician, writer, and film director, ergo The Gordon Parks Ride. Good times to be had by all!
The 10-mile ride will have stops along the way with opportunities for photos. Please bring a reusable water bottle. Not recommended for children under 12 due to length of the ride and lots of hills.

Poetry Pedalers Moonlight Ride (Night Ride)
Monday, September 26th

Wheel & Sprocket - 187 E. Becher Street
Join us on a night ride in partnership with the Wisconsin Bike Fed and 2026 Milwaukee Poet Laureate Shelly Conley. The ride features poetry by moonlight from Milwaukee's local poet scene at different locations along the route. Riders are encouraged to get creative and add colorful bike lights. We recommend you to wear reflective clothing or vests along the route since we will be riding at night. Be advised that we will be biking on our city streets using the bike lanes. Our goal is to create a glowing visual presence on the streets we ride on.
Ride departs at 7:30pm, route is 5-7 miles. Meet in the front of the building, then come inside and listen to a poetry performance. There will be various stops along the route. All riders must have a helmet and a water botte to join the ride. All riders under the age of 18 must be accompanined by an adult. All riders must adhere to all traffic rules, for their safety.

Annual Fete Ghede Ride & Ancestor Celebration

AL's Blues Alley - 1743 N. 33rd St
Fete Ghede is the Haitian Voodoo celebration honoring life, death, and rebirth that corresponds to All Saints Day. This is the time to acknowledge our Ancestors through feasts and festivities. We will ride and visit neighborhood memorials adding flowers to the shrines of memorialized community members. Food and drink will be provided after the ride along with face painting before the ride if you come early. You may also show up with your face already painted.
The ride length is 5-6 miles. The ride will take place Rain or Shine. Ride will include stops along the way. Please bring a reusable water bottle along with photos of loved ones to honor them and/or flowers and candles to leave at memorial sites. Dress for the weather. Dress in purple, black, or white attire. This will be the final Red Bike & Green ride of the season.

The Bike Fed offers free bicycle repairs in various parks throughout the summer! Each week they will be at a different location. Catch the Milwaukee Mobile Bike Repair crew at these locations across the city for free tune-ups and repairs. We can fix brakes, tires and inner tubes, shifters, chains, and more!
