Bryan Bove-Wimberley (he/they) is the Student Success Coordinator for the Geoffrey H. Radbill Center for College and Life Design at Bowling Green State University, as well as a facilitator for BGSU's Green Dot Bystander Education and Intervention program to combat sexual violence. He holds a master of arts in English Literature and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University; a master of arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from New York University; and is currently pursuing a PhD in American Culture Studies at BGSU. His graphic dissertation, “X-traordinary Bodies: Queer Crip Possibilities in Marvel’s X-Men,” examines shifting perspectives of queerness-as-illness in American culture from the 1980s to the present through autoethnography and a close reading of X-Men titles.
Bryan joined the coalition to connect with and create positive change within the queer community of Toledo and the greater northwest Ohio region.
