We are a grassroots, coalition of individuals from different backgrounds who believe that every person deserves respect, advocacy, to be empowered, and for their voice to be heard and respected. We believe that collaboration between individuals and organizations builds strong communities and promotes inclusivity.
MISSION: The NW Ohio LGBTQ+ Coalition actively promotes empowerment, visibility, and equity in NW Ohio, with an emphasis on the use of community-building, collaboration, research, advocacy, and education while providing a platform for the entirety of this diverse community.
VISION: The NW Ohio LGBTQ+ Coalition promotes advocacy, visibility, and empowerment within the community and fosters collaboration among the businesses, services, and resources that serve this community. Additionally, the Coalition compiles and furthers research to best support services that meet the needs of this community’s diverse individuals.
As a grassroots organization we aim to function with minimal formal leadership. Anyone can join the Coalition and be an active member.
