Philosophy

All students want to learn. My goal is to give students the courage to take chances. Recognizing that one learns from mistakes allows students to soar with wings fully open. Skills can be taught all day, but a child will learn when they are engaged with an activity, prepared to stumble, and comfortable enough to seek help. I strive to challenge every child to reach his/her potential.

The poem to the left is recited daily in my classroom.
