Seesaw update: Seesaw Lessons! Emailed January 25, 2022
Last week, SeeSaw announced that they have newly created "Seesaw Lessons." To start, they launched 4 sets of free K-2 lessons on the following topics:
*Fun Phonemes - 42 lessons PreK - K
*Numbers in Space - 21 lessons K-2
*SEL Stories - 30 lessons grades K-2 - TIES in with Second Step Lessons
*STEAM - 13 lessons grades K-2 in a variety of science topics
Note: There are also a bunch of paid lesson sets, as well as a separate full subscription to access all paid lessons.
Each set of lessons is accompanied by a teacher implementation guide and an overview video. There are also tabs to separate each grade level's lessons
The lessons themselves are student-focused and interactive, using Seesaw's tools to get students applying, extending and interacting with the content. They also allow for copying and editing :)
Each individual lesson is includes an overview, a copy & edit feature to make it your own, and a "view as student" option

Seesaw: END OF YEAR 🎉 👏 🎓 😎! Emailed June 8, 2021
Luckily, there isn't anything specific you need to do to wrap up your SeeSaw class(es). However, SeeSaw sent an email with 3 reminders on what NOT to do in order to ensure a smooth transition into next school year:
Do not delete or archive your class
Do not delete students or student work
Do NOT turn off family access
Have a wonderful last week :))!

Seesaw update: Progress Emailed May 10, 2021
Please know that SeeSaw released an awesome new feature last week!
There's a new "Progress" tab on your SeeSaw course page that allows you to see both your class and individual students' activity completion in a very user-friendly way! It also allows you to generate/send progress reports based on their activity completion. Below is an overview of this new feature. HOORAY! 🎉
Note: this feature is only available on the web. It's not yet available on the mobile app.
SeeSaw updates: VOICE feature and LOCK SIZE feature. Emailed March 16, 2021
1. First half of video - Voice feature - allows teachers to record audio over top of any label, shape, image, or caption. Students simply click the speaker to listen to the audio recording.
2. Second half of video - Lock Size - prevents students from changing the size of an object when dragging and dropping it. Lock All prevents students from changing the size and location of an object.
Using SeeSaw Folders and Archiving Activities. Emailed September 22, 2020
1. Tag a folder when you assign a Seesaw Activity so that ALL student responses are automatically organized in that folder.
Use https://emojipedia.org/ to copy/paste emojis as part of your folder names.
2. Archive the activity so it no longer clogs up the stream once students have had adequate time to submit activity responses (end of week, start of next week, etc.).
Once archived, all student responses will still appear in their journal.
Once archived, students who did not respond will no longer be able to.
3. Lastly, folders are hidden on the SeeSaw Class mobile app. Here are directions to locate student work in folders through the Class App:

Create and pin a Landing Page in SeeSaw to house organizational/management materials for students - Emailed November 2, 2020
I love this idea of creating a "landing page" to post organizational/management materials in SeeSaw, especially since we can pin this post to the top of the Journal or Activity sections in SeeSaw. Some of us are using Bitmoji Classrooms for a similar purpose, but this is much simpler to create.
