Mathematics has developed since the earliest civilizations, across the globe, in a multitude of cultures, some gaining more recognition than others. Although different cultures interacted and influenced each other in the development of trigonometric identities, the discoveries made were not limited to a single mathematician, culture or moment in time, but rather multiple cultures, people, places and moments. Thus, this website aims to provide an overview of the multiple routes through which different cultures around the globe reached or contributed to the trigonometric identities that are utilised in modern culture today. Moreover, videos with visual proof and explanations of the identities are provided, to mimic the actions of mathematicians prior, in a more accessible and simplistic manner. It is suggested to visit pages in their numerical order to enhance understanding.
