Dear Fourth Graders & Families,

I am so happy to welcome you to my class this year! Please bring in your supplies on your designated first day of school (please see postings). We will then meet as a whole class on Thu., August 18.  

It is an honor and a privilege to be your teacher! My goals are to guide you through your learning journey and to show you that you  can accomplish anything you set your mind to! 

Fourth grade will be an exciting year of learning fun! You will strengthen skills from third grade as you build your confidence in fourth grade. Your ELA and Social Studies teacher will be Mrs. Baldwin.  We are always here for you and want to help you have a wonderful school year!

I will be your Math and Science teacher. In Math, your thinking will be stretched as we explore in greater depth topics such as place value, the four operations, fractions, and geometry.  

In Science, you will investigate lots of cool and interesting concepts!—the conservation of matter and energy; the relationship between electricity and magnetism; how Earth’s surface continually changes; and the captivating world of ecosystems—and more! It is my hope that you will be just as fascinated and inspired by these topics as much as I am!

The most important thing to remember for a successful fourth grade year is to come to Stinson with a positive attitude, a sense of humor, a kind heart, and the willingness to always do your best! You will find that these mindset qualities allow you to continue to succeed and soar!
