About me

Hello and welcome to Northwest Middle School Tech Resources Class! I am Mrs. Newton and I have been teaching for 32 years. I love my job, the students, and the Northwest community, so every day is a new adventure. To begin, there are four things that are really important; Home Access Center(HAC), the Weekly Agenda, Google Classroom, and joining Parent Square.

Access Center (HAC) -  Students and parents will have access to HAC to check grades and view progress in classes.  If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Baughman (330-854-3003) for assistance.

When you are viewing the grades, please note that an "X" means the grade is  exempt, and the student will not need to make up that assignment. 

If your child has a "Z", the work is missing. The assignment is currently a zero, so the student will need to see me as soon as possible about a "Z" code.  A blank box indicates the assignment has not yet been graded. 

Weekly Agenda - I post the weekly agenda in Google Classroom every week and will send a link through Parent Square at the beginning of the week. The weekly agenda provides parents and students a glance at the week with important upcoming dates. 

Google Classroom-  This is where I will post class assignments and information for students.  If students are absent,  they are able to see the daily assignments here.  As a parent,  you can ask your child to open Google Classroom for you to view.  If they have any questions,  students are expected to speak with me in class or send an email.  

Parent Square- I will use parent square to send the weekly agenda,  and communicate information about the Tech Resources class.
