Miss Ellis
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Northwest Primary
About Me:
Hello! My name is Miss Angie Ellis, and I am the Physical Education Teacher at Northwest Primary School. I graduated from Ashland University in May 2013, as 1 of 3 Valedictorians of my graduating class, with a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree. I am licensed to teach Physical Education PreK-12, and I also have an endorsement in Adapted Physical Education. I taught at Tiffin City Schools (Washington K-1 Elementary) the first 5 years of my teaching career, and then I taught for 3 years at nearby Perry Local Schools (T.C. Knapp Elementary). I am very excited to continue my teaching career here at Northwest Primary School!
Physical Education in schools is the cornerstone of an active lifestyle for all students. School PE programs provide the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that facilitate choosing physical activity at home, at school, and in the community. My goal is to introduce a wide variety of movement and fitness activities in a way that enables all students to have fun, feel success, and look forward to their physical education classes. Physically active children become physically active adults. When students leave my program, I want an intrinsic motivation to be in place so each child continues to lead happy, active, healthy lifestyles.
I am very passionate about physical activity, fitness, and lifetime health & wellness and am still very involved with athletics at a competitive level such as soccer, basketball, softball, and tennis. In addition, I love to participate in outdoor recreational activities such as rollerblading, biking, hiking, swimming, water skiing/wake boarding, snow skiing/snow-boarding, kayaking and just about any other type of outdoor physical activity.
In addition to staying physically active, I enjoy spending time with my family and going on walks/runs with my beloved dogs, Abby, Mollie and Gracie who are Bichon Frises.
I hope you enjoyed the information on my page. Feel free to contact me any time.
Healthfully Yours,
Miss Ellis

This is a virtual gym that I made for my students at my previous school, T.C. Knapp Elementary. Despite it being a different gymnasium, my Northwest Primary students will still have fun searching for and clicking on all of the different links that access several different physical activities, websites, or videos!
