My name is Jennifer McNerney (Madonna) and this is my 12th year at Northvale Public School and my 11th year as a Special Education teacher! I received my Undergraduate Degree in Elementary & Special Education from East Stroudsburg University (GO Warriors!) in 2011 and my Masters Degree in Literacy/Reading Specialist and Supervisory in 2016. I am a certified Orton Gillingham teacher and received my training through the teacher scholarship program at Fairleigh Dickinson University through IMSLEC & IDA, which I completed in the spring of 2019. I am currently working towards my Dyslexia Specialist Certification through FDU as well! I am very excited for the 2022-2023 school year and to share my love of learning and reading!
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, exercising and visiting baseball stadiums with my husband. We have visited 11 stadiums and have many more planned. We vacationed to San Diego, CA in August and visited both the Los Angeles Angeles at Angels Stadium and the San Diego Padres stadium at Petco Park.
My younger sister Jessica and I supporting Paramus Strong and Pink Hat Campaign at the Mets Game. She currently teaches 5th grade math and science at East Brook Middle School. Fun fact: We are both ESU Warriors and we both got married a month apart!!
