At Polly Gonzalez High School, learning is an active process designed around trust, relevance, and purpose. Founded in 2006, the school honors the legacy of Las Vegas news anchor Polly Gonzalez by emphasizing integrity, curiosity, and the power of community voice. We are a proud member of the Nevada Future of Learning Network, offering a learner-centered and future-ready education that is grounded in the real needs and stories of our region.
Our students engage in projects that matter, such as addressing the environmental and legal challenges of the Colorado River through applied hydroponic science. By building functional growing systems, students produce fresh food for the community while developing critical skills in engineering, data analysis, and social responsibility. This approach allows students to see the world with their eyes wide open as they move questions from the classroom into the local community. At Polly Gonzalez High School, young people are not just preparing for the future—they are shaping it.
