We would love to meet you and talk about what makes this university special! Click on this link: https://www.unr.edu/visit
Each member has a purpose, even if they don't hold a leadership position. That purpose is to aid the University in recruiting prospective students and their families. Every student ambassador gives campus tours and has the opportunity to participate in other recruitment events such as student panels, Admitted Student Receptions, Fall Previews, Nevada Bounds, and so much more! Our biannual retreats to Lake Tahoe binds us together as not only an organization, but also a family.
A diverse community of friends- culturally, academically, and career-wise
Free biannual retreats at Lake Tahoe
Free food at meetings
Snacks and free printing in the Amby office
If chosen, all-expenses-paid recruitment trips to places outside of Reno such as California and Las Vegas.
No, there is no fee to join and participate in this organization.
The time commitment of a general member is 2 hours a week, for your tours. During the training process, however, the time increases due to learning facts, tour skills, and going on full-length practice tours. Don't worry! Ambassadors in training have several months to do all of this.
We are not paid employees of the university. We are student volunteers who are passionate about sharing what our university has to offer.
This is a full, extensive tour of the university where we assess your knowledge of campus facts and ability to connect with prospective students/families.
After completing your requirements and passing your Director's Tour, you are required to attend the next retreat in order to officially give campus tours.
