This class is a combination of guided learning, independent study, and group work. Students will have many opportunities to improve their individual reading, writing and speaking, as well as their collaborative skills.

Grade 10 students were provided a paper textbook. This is an excellent resource for students who prefer to read and annotate on paper. Many students benefit from using the paper text in order to annotate and take notes. Additionally, a digital version of each unit is provided on Canvas. Writing assignments will primarily be digital in order for students to take advantage of the online tools necessary to help them review, edit, and improve their writing. Therefore, a Chromebook/computer is expected every day for class.
