Vision Services meets the academic and expanded core needs of students with low vision and blindness. Vision Services provides specially designed instruction, related services, and supplementary aids and services based on assessment and needs. Vision Services collaborates with school stakeholders to provide equitable access to curriculum and the school environment while promoting independence and student success in the least restrictive environment.

Parent/Guardian Vision Resources
The Blind Center of Nevada is a nonprofit partner of the Clark County School District's (CCSD's) Vision Services department. Vision Services collaborates with the Blind Center of Nevada to assist students with low vision and blindness as they transition from school to the real world. Blind Center of Nevada assists young adults and adults with low vision and blindness to achieve their highest physical, social, intellectual, and personal development.
Blindconnect is a partner of CCSD's Vision Services department. Vision Services collaborates with Blindconnect and Angela’s House to provide students with low vision and blindness opportunities to build confidence, strengthen daily living skills, and increase independence. Through this partnership, students gain real-world experiences and practical tools that support a successful transition from school to the real world.
Nevada Blind Children's Foundation (NBCF) is a nonprofit partner of CCSD's Vision Services Department. Vision Services collaborates with NBCF to enhance expanded core opportunities such as recreation, leisure, independent living, social interaction, and transition skills for students with low vision and blindness.
The Nevada Bureau of Services to the Blind and Visually Impaired (BSBVI) is a partner of CCSD's Vision Services department. Vision Services collaborates with BSBVI to assist students with low vision and blindness transitioning from school to the real world. BSBVI provides vocational rehabilitation, job training, and independent living skills for people with low vision and blindness. Services include summer transition camps, assistive technology, counseling, job placement, and specialized programs for older individuals.
The Nevada Department of Education and CCSD's Vision Services department collaborate to provide special education services to meet the educational needs of students with low vision and blindness.
Regional Transportation Center (RTC) is a partner of the CCSD's Vision Services department. Vision Services works closely with RTC to provide students with low vision and blindness meaningful opportunities to learn about public transportation options. Through this collaboration, students gain knowledge, confidence, and practical skills that promote independence and mobility within the community. By introducing accessible transportation resources and hands-on learning experiences, the partnership helps prepare students for greater self-reliance in school, work, and everyday life.
Smith Center of Performing Arts and CCSD's Vision Service department collaborate to provide transition and literacy enrichment opportunities for students with low vision and blindness. The Smith Center of Performing Arts provides audio description for people with low vision and blindness. Audio description provides accessibility and brings the performances to life. It involves a trained professional describing all of a show’s visuals in real time, including sets, choreography, costuming, and facial expressions, which is experienced through an earpiece.
Vegas PBS is a partner of CCSD's Vision Services department. Vision Services collaborates with Vegas PBS to provide students with low vision and blindness access to the Special Needs Resource Library, a free-lending library designed to support those with documented special needs. In addition, Vegas PBS offers Descriptive Video Service to assist viewers with low vision and blindness by narrating key visual elements of television programs.
