The Thurman White Academy Choir Program offers the following courses:

• Beginning Boys Choir - For boys in their first year of choir. Teaches music theory, vocal technique, sight-reading and performance.
• Beginning Girls Choir - For girls in their first year of choir. Teaches music theory, vocal technique, sight-reading and performance.
• Concert Choir - For students in their 2nd or 3rd year of choir. Teaches advanced music theory, vocal technique, sight-reading and performance.
• Chamber Choir - For students in their 2nd or 3rd year of choir. Teaches advanced music theory, vocal technique, sight-reading and performance. Rigorous performance schedule. Accepted by audition only.
• Show Choir - For 6th, 7th and 8th grade students with experience in singing and dancing. Teaches stage presence, movement, vocal technique and performance. Rigorous performance schedule. Accepted by audition only.
• Vocal Workshop - For 7^th and 8^th grade students with singing experience who want to focus on solo singing. It is designed for students to learn about stage presence, solo vocal technique, repertoire of various styles and recording. Accepted by audition only.

Electives for Choir majors include:

• Piano
• Musical Theater
• Sight-Singing/Ear Training
