The G.O.A.T.

Northwest Career and Technical Academy does not have school teams, but they have a soccer club. Soccer club meets every Monday and Thursday on the field. Northwest is also a magnet school with 8 classes. Freshman, Steven Rivera, not only attends Northwest but is also in soccer club.

Steven Rivera is a player in the soccer club. Rivera is on two soccer teams, the soccer club at Northwest and Galaxy FC ND atletico. Not only is he on two teams, but he is on A & B honor roll and has a good social life. He says it does get hard sometimes to manage all of this.

Rivera plays the left fullback position. He was most excited for was the homecoming game against A-Tech.

Rivera has made friends with the entire team since joining. Although he has friends on the Northwest team, he enjoys playing on his own team more.

Rivera is very passionate about soccer and loves to play more than anything. His reasoning for playing soccer is “When my dad was younger he played soccer and he always wanted me to play too.”
