This year's draft could impact the league in wild fashions; whether through crazy trades or where the top prospects will land.
This year's draft is coming in late April. This draft class contains one of the most promising quarterback prospects since Trevor Lawrence in Caleb Williams. There is plenty of buzz on who will take him, or who will pass on him and take a different quarterback back prospect like Drake Maye. There is also a slew of high-end playmakers on defense and the offensive side many of which fans want their teams to take.
“I want the Eagles to trade up for corner Nate Wiggins”, Eagles fan Jacob Criss states after being asked who he thinks his team should draft.
A storyline for the Chicago Bears depends on whether or not they trade Justin Fields or not. Many fans of the NFL are still determining whether or not Chicago would keep Fields as their franchise quarterback or start from scratch. On the one hand, the Bears could take a big play receiver with their first overall pick like Marvin Harrison Jr. and build with Fields, or restart their window with a top prospect like Caleb Williams on their rookie deal while dealing Fields for another high draft pick.
“They should keep Fields because he’s a stud, but if they do I hope they trade him to Seattle,” NFL fan and senior Logan Armstrong states.
In the NFL there are a handful of teams that more than likely will take a quarterback from this class such as: The Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, and The Washington Commanders. However, for some of these teams, it could mean they would have to trade to jump ahead of the teams picking in front of them if they wish to get the quarterback they want.
“I think the Vikings should take Jayden Daniels or Michael Penix”, sports writer Mason McFee shares when asked who he thinks his favorite team should take.
