It comes as no surprise to fans and critics alike that The San Francisco 49ers are now in the superbowl due to their impressive roster.
The San Francisco 49ers have by leaps and bounds been the most impressive team in the NFC based on stats.
Christian McCaffrey has over 1,000 yards after the catch along with both Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel.
Not to mention that 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy has the highest completion percentage in 49ers history standing at 69.4% with Steve Young trailing by 5 percent. On top of this Brock Purdy led the 49ers to 2 back to back comeback wins in the playoffs.
The 49ers were trailing in the game against the Green Bay Packers and despite Brock Purdy not playing his best ball he stepped up when it mattered most and made the plays that needed to happen. The 49ers were 5 and 30 when trailing by 7 or more going into the 4th quarter and they broke the curse
In the game against the lions they were down 17 going into the half and many believed the game to be over including CJ Gardner- Johnson who was seen waving goodbye to fans at the half, however the 49ers made the plays they needed to make to advance to the Superbowl.
“I thought the game was over to be honest, I am shocked Purdy and defense was able to step up,” Northwest teacher Kevin Volcic says.
It is not secret the 49ers have been on a hot streak this season and the chiefs had an offense that has seemed relatively pedestrian.
The Chiefs are only averaging 17 points a game while 49ers are averaging 24-34 points a game so in order to win this game they will have to stop the 49ers explosive offense.
“The 49ers have a far better offense than the chiefs so the game will come down to defense but I think the 49ers will ultimately come on top because they have shown they have a fighting spirit,” Northwest sophomore Tamir Young says.
Sports betting sites have the chiefs favored by 1 however odds do not always tell the full story and Sunday will tell who the better team truly is.
