Studies show that taking a physical education class or being in an active sports club helps students learn and be less stressed in school. Many people enjoy P.E and the activities they get to do, while some other people don’t enjoy participating in it. Students should take a physical education class instead of taking the class online.
Studies show that gym benefits students in learning in school and perform better. The website, www.inquirer.com explains, “The National Youth Risk Behavior Survey found in 2011 that only 52 percent of 9-12 grade students attended one or more gym classes in a week at school, and only 32 percent of students attended a daily gym class at school.”
Not only does this benefit the students but it also benefits teachers too. It also helps students behave better during class which is a benefit for teachers. As well as perform better on tests and develop more social skills.
Freshman students, Diorzell Desamito and Cassandra Richards agree that P.E does give you a break from school and stress. A numerous number of people can also agree that the class in general is fun and they enjoy it. “It gives students a break. It's like the forced way of recess.”, says Desamito.
You can relax and hang out with your friends and take your stress and use it on the activities P.E are doing. Since Richards has the class P.E at the end of the day, her last period, she has something to look forward to.
P.E is a great way to make new friends and develop better social skills. Teamwork is one major part they work on in this class and can help students outside of P.E. As well as the teachers like Mr. Girard, one of the teachers for freshmans who gives very helpful advice about life and what to be prepared.
