Some freshman students that go to Northwest Career and Technical Academy question which subject out of all classes in school is the most important to learn about however, in my opinion, health class is the most important class for students to gain more knowledge in. Some students had health class for the first semester, and some had it for the second semester, no matter what, health class only lasts for one semester. Having health class is very beneficial for students, it helps teenagers in many ways.
Quianna Gomez, a freshman student that attends Northwest Career and Technical Academy believes that health class isn't the most important class in school. Gomez states, “Other classes like your program seem more important to me than health would”. Gomez thinks that your program area class will be more beneficial towards students because it focuses on a possible career choice.
Jake Breckner, a long-term sub who teaches health classes to freshman students, think that health class is the most important topic for students to learn about because it involves all aspects of life, such as someone's social, emotional, and physical health. Some health topics that are learned in this class are substance abuse, nutrition, mental health, and CPR. This class may help those who struggle with some of these health issues because students can be more informed.
It is shown in studies that healthy students do better in school. For example, students with better nutrition have better attention spans and test scores. Other studies show that healthy students also maintain higher attendance and superior grades.
It is essential to learn about health because it can determine how long or how short your life will be. Students should start learning how to build a positive attitude towards their health. This will prevent any diseases or health issues later on in the future.
People include health in their everyday lives. Many people struggle with their health when they get older. Students who take action about their health now, while they are still young, will eventually live a happy, long, and successful lifestyle when they grow older.
