The teacher education program is one of the many programs at NWCTA. It’s a popular choice for the freshmen’s and well liked by the attending students.
Jadore Ross, a freshman in the teacher education program expresses her opinion on her experiences in the teacher education program.
“I think it’s a really good program, it teaches you a lot about human development and how we change as we grow up, plus you get to meet a lot of new people.” Jardore Ross explains, “This program teaches me a lot of skills and I get to explore my thoughts.”
The teacher education program lets students express themselves, and meet new people. The more exciting lessons will be taught later through the program, letting these students gain more knowledge and experience.
Ying Zhi Lin who is a graduate of NWCTA, finds fond memories through this program. She is able to learn through new and different interactions.
“I don’t regret picking this program, mainly because it gave me actual insight on how working in the education field can be like through shadowing/co-teaching experiences.” Ying Zhi Lin recalls, “Plus, we also don’t “learn” the traditional way through countless quizzes and tests, but rather through projects and real-life applications that go beyond just memorizing facts.”
Mr. Leist, the teacher education teacher, shows his excitement for his freshman class to start experiencing the upcoming lessons for next year.
“You’ll get to teach the kindergarten students and I’ll see you guys progress with the skills we learned this year.” Mr. Leist says.
Every student/former student seems to enjoy the teacher education program, being able to understand the human mind with creativity and true experiences. This program truly inspires our students, and we can’t wait for the years ahead.
