With the recent tensions between The United States and Iran, new strategies for the obvious weak team are needed. For an unknown reason, Las Vegas was cyber-attacked at 4:30am on January 7th, 2020. The Las Vegas Information Technologies Department was getting unknown cyber breaches.
When the city was aware of the attempt, they immediately took steps to protect the data systems. Las Vegas is a very realistic destination for foreign hackers. There are some of the largest corporate companies settled here that can be hacked with the proper skills.
A cybersecurity attack could hurt the economy, banks, and threaten the well being of society and how it functions. Due to Iran being on the weak side in the recent events between the two countries, they need alternative ways to get back at the U.S. Cyber attacks can be a potential threat to many citizens of major cities.
“We have left them no choice but to use the cyber world to get back at us,” said an anonymous NWCTA freshman. With a lot of residents dependent on Las Vegas’ Major companies, a major attack would put many people in distress. The biggest hackers in the world is known to be Russia. However, China and Iran tie at second place. Iran is also known to be one of the biggest hacking countries.
Las Vegas has always been a big target for cyber breaches. Even though there is a lot of useful security, anything is possible in the online world. However, it would take a lot to take down Vegas’ data systems.
