Technology Student Association, or TSA, returns to Northwest Career and Technical Academy. There is a club for those who are interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and it also helps with leadership skills and helps advance career opportunities.
Joseph Madrid is the President of the TSA Club. He joined TSA in his freshman year in the 2022- 2023 year. He is very dedicated to this club and wants to guide incoming students interested in a career involving STEM. This club is open to a lot of opportunities!
“In about fourth grade or so I was exposed to the concept of engineering, specifically aerospace engineering,” Madrid stated passionately. “Since then, I have done my best to pursue engineering, so it was an easy choice when it came to picking a program area!”
Brandon Little is the vice president of TSA. He has also joined TSA alongside Madrid in the 2022-2023 school year in his freshman year! He ran along slide with Madrid to make sure TSA had a lot more involvement.
“This year our plans for TSA are very ambitious,” Little stated. “We would like to expand past the engineering program while also making sure the club keeps its engineering roots.”
TSA Competitions are usually held on every Presidents Day! This competition is being held at Northeast Career and Technical Academy! It is on February 17, 2025!
“The overall main objective of TSA's competitions is to get every member involved and to use what we have learned, not only in TSA but in our engineering classes as well,” said Junior, Gabrielle Tiller.
This club lets you get involved in a lot of activities! It is a lot of hands-on activities since everyone can participate. This club is perfect for those looking to pursue a career in construction or engineering!
