A homecoming carnival was hosted by NWCTA Wednesday, October 19 after school however, students say it wasn’t the same as last year.

With new attractions, it created a different atmosphere for attendees. While some may have enjoyed themselves, students can’t help but compare it to last year. 

“I feel like it needed to be organized more and the games weren’t that eye-catching. The amount of tickets use on each game is a little too much,” says sophomore student, Makedah Chambers. 

Each ticket cost one dollar this year, meaning if a game called for three tickets, three dollars would be spent on a game as simple as a ring toss. 

However another student, Alexis Bugarin gives more positive feedback. “The carnival was pretty good this year. All the clubs had some cool stuff and a lot of people came which I didn’t expect. The basketball game was pretty interesting too”. 

This year, the NWCTA basketball club hosted a game in the gym. There weren’t many people watching at first however, as time went by, the bleachers were filled with interested students. 

“I felt it was much more organized. Personally, my group was more organized. It was just more fun. But both were good. I also liked the haunted theme this year,” says FCCLA member Renee Blackwell.
