Pokémon is a show and game series many have loved and played. The games range from card games to online video games ranging from open world to location based games where you catch or earn little creatures to fight against a friend's creatures. The shows have gained a whole different audience but still follow the pattern of catching or earning little creatures that fight within battles. They are called Pokémon.
Pokémon means pocket monster and that describes both the games and shows well. The games are usually stored on a phone or within the cards in your pocket and in the show they catch the pokémon with pokéballs they store in their pockets. This has caused an uproar of fans with their easy and fun shows and games.
“I enjoy playing Pokémon and watching the shows,” Jack Clide, cashier and game enthusiast said.
Many of the fans don’t like the shows or games for the plot or feeling but they enjoy the characters.
“I enjoy the cute characters” Delilah Paniagua, a sophomore at Northwest Career and Technical Academy, said happily, “Mew especially”
With a constant influx of content, the viewers and gamers won’t stop growing with newer players coming each day and more viewers through their anime series. However, there are some changes that some players aren’t very happy Nicholas Mayfield
with the changes being made.
“It's an amazing game,” Clide had sighed, “however, some changes are making me worried for its future.”
Other players really don’t let the changes sway their opinion. However, they do want more or different content.
“The game is best of best,” Floyd Burnette, a sophomore and game enthusiast at NWCTA said, “the company could have added more to the leveling process and fights.”
