PalWorld is a new game that many say is similar to PokeMon but with guns, but is this actually true?
PalWorld got ranked as #3 on Xbox Launch Pass with 7 millions plays. It has hit new records and is really popular, 5 million people bought it within its first 3 days of launching.
“PalWorld is basically an open world adventure game where you find different creatures and capture them with different devices and an adventure based shooter game,” said Charles Card, a Senior at NWCTA. “You can attack pals and, I guess, hostile NPCs”
This new release has gotten many people talking, and there have been many in the gaming community who say that PalWorld is very similar to PokeMon, but why?
“There are some similarities, especially with the looks of the pal themselves, and the devices you use to capture them, but they are different from PokeMon because they attack themselves without having needed to be evolved,” said Card, “and they can do work such as chopping trees and other stuff like farming, basically everything you can do in the game. Like using guns and using them to fly rather than PokeMon, all of them float beside you.”
Another NWCTA Senior feels the same way about PokeMon and PalWorld having similarities.
“I feel that it has similar aspects but the developers have made it better by adding features that PokeMon was missing such as exclusive pal skills as well as more variety with equipment,” said Joshua Bacon.
While the new PalWorld game is clearly very similar to PokeMon, a new question arises. Which is better?
“I enjoy PalWorld more, because it is more open world than PokeMon and diverse then PokeMon with the NPCs, Pals, and equipment that you’re able to unlock,” said Bacon, “I feel that they are different, while PalWorld has more freedom and PokeMon is more limited.”
Joshua Bacon is not the only one who feels this way.
‘PalWorld, because I can shoot the Pals and also because there is a lot more to do. No set path but you have the ability to do whatever you want with very little limitations and more open-world without set limitations,” said Card.
